THIS IS NOT A SET OF RULES BUT A SET OF GUIDELINES OF HOW TO BUILD YOUR CAR. IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN SPECIFICALLY DO SOMETHING THEN YOU CANT.
General Driver Rules & Expectations:
1. Drivers must be at least 16 years old. Under 18 years old must have a parental release.
2. Drivers may have one rider if so desired. This rider must be registered as a rider prior to start of events and also pay an additional entry fee. Riders must also abide by all event regulations. If you register as a driver you must remain the driver throughout the event. Only the driver will be eligible for any money awarded.
3. Drivers are responsible for passengers’ actions while on the track,
4. Drivers may use as many pit personals as desired.
5. Drivers, riders, and crew members must attend pit meetings. Any controversies will be taken up at the drivers meeting.
6. Drivers and all people entering pit area must sign Entry Form and Release of Liability Form prior to entering pit area. Anyone that will be in the pits will have to pay entry fee (driver, rider, crew and anyone staying in the pits). NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
7. Authorized vehicles only will be allowed in the pit area. No personal vehicles are allowed.
8. A maximum of 5 mph must be always obeyed in the pit area. NO hot rodding in the pit area. This is the fastest way to be disqualified.
9. After entering pit area, all cars are to be inspected in the tech area as soon as possible. ALL cars must be teched and registered 30 minutes before show time.
If you don’t pass inspection, you will be allowed to make the necessary repairs and be re-inspected within 30 minutes prior to the start of the first heat.

Car Building Rules:
DO NOT paint anywhere on suspension or frame, if you do we will not even inspect your car.
1. May be any car with the following exceptions
-No 1970 or older Lincolns
-No 1973 or older Chrysler Imperials or Imperial sub frames
-No 4x4, ambulance, hearses, trucks, Limos, etc.
2. Any drive train can be used in any car, must be in stock location. Slider driveshafts are ok. Pinion brakes are allowed.
2. Remove all glass, mirrors, plastic, outside body chrome & turn signals. Vehicles must be swept clean of all debris. Also, must remove ALL carpet, dash, headliner, rear seats, and any other flammable materials.
3.ZERO frame shaping, forming or folding. Frame notching is okay, but cannot weld. No sedagons, fresh or pre run. You can tuck 50% of trunk lid only. Creasing is okay, but do not dish trunk.
4. Hoods must be 100% in stock location and open for inspection. Must have a minimum 12” opening on hood in case of a fire.
5. You may replace the 2 front core support body bolts with 5/8 all-thread. Bottom nut must be inside frame, DO NOT WELD washer, nut or the spacer to the frame or the body. Spacers no bigger then 2x2x6. 6 inch maximum spacer. DO NOT touch any other body bolts, if rusted out, may use 3 loops of #9 wire.
6. Hood and trunk mounting:
Can mount trunk/hood in 1 of these ways, not in combination:
1.) You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8 in trunk 6 to fasten trunk lid and 2 from trunk lid to bumper.
2.) You can use 8 pieces of wire in trunk. 6 to fasten trunk lid and 2 from trunk lid to bumper. 3 loops per spot
3.) Can use 4- 2inchx2inch door strapping squares
4.) You can use 4 bolts 8 inches long, 3/8 thick from sheet metal to sheet metal. No added metal
Trunks must be on hinges. You can tuck 50% of trunk lid only or remove trunk lid completely.
8. Body mounts and spacers to remain stock and in place. If they are broken or rusted out, a single piece #9 wire may be substituted. No body bolt changing allowed. DO NOT EVEN TOUCH THEM!!! Exception: You may replace two front body mounts with two 5/8" threaded rod with eight 3-inch washers and 4 nuts, Bottom nut and washer must be inside frame and may extend through hood. ZERO welding allowed to mount this rod.
9. #9 wire, chain or a max of 3 inch strap required in front windshield, from roof to cowl.
10. Battery must be relocated to the interior of the vehicle and properly secured and covered.
11. Gas tanks MUST be moved behind the seat in the center. If fuel tank is in front of rear axel you may leave it under the car. It is recommended that you remove tank but not required. You are allowed a gas tank protector, must be at least 3 inches off the speaker deck, if its less the 3 inches, you will cut it.
12.) Doors- Drivers door you may weld solid, all other doors may be secured in 1 of these ways, not in combination:
- 6 pieces of chain 3/8 per door
-6 pieces of 9 wire per door with 3 wraps
-weld 10 inches total vertical seams only. 2 inch wide door strapping is as big as you can use.
13.) Both front doors you can have a six-inch-wide piece of channel or equivalent from 6 inches in front of front doors to 6 inches behind front doors
14. 4-point square cage only 60” max in length with one 2x3 down tube to sheet metal only per side. Max 60-inch side bars 6-inch max. Halo bar is recommended and may be attached to the back-seat bar and floor sheet metal. Allowed two- 2x3 down tubes to the top of the frame
15. You are allowed aftermarket steering shafts, Headers, shifter and pedals; they may not be mounted in any way that strengthens the car. Everything else must be factory for the year, make and model of the car you are running.
16. Any 5 lug rear end is allowed, absolutely no bracing on rear end anywhere.
17. BUMPERS may have a 4” x 6” x ¼” plate welded or bolted for mounting purposes. This plate may bolt to frame with 4 bolts or 6” of total weld to frame. As stated in rules, you can also use nine wire or chain along with bolting. You may swap out aluminum bumpers to any stock appearing bumper (no added metal to outside of skin) or a single piece of 4x4 tubing 3/16” thick – must attach the same as stock.
18.Bumper height on fresh cars must measure 28 inches to the top of the bumper, both front and back max.
19. Any tires are fine. Only valve stem protectors allowed on wheels.
20. Cold bending frame is okay, DO NOT TOUCH THE TABS, no cutting on boxes. Do not abuse this rule.
21. You are allowed 2 square 6x6x1/8 plates on fresh cars.
22. You are allowed an additional 2 square 6x6x1/8 plates on pre runs, these must be on physical bends. If it is not a physical bend, it they will come off.
