THIS IS NOT A SET OF RULES BUT A SET OF GUIDELINES OF HOW TO BUILD YOUR CAR. IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN SPECIFICALLY DO SOMETHING THEN YOU CANT.
General Driver Rules & Expectations:
1. Drivers must be at least 16 years old. Under 18 years old must have a parental release.
2. Drivers may have one rider if so desired. This rider must be registered as a rider prior to start of events and also pay an additional entry fee. Riders must also abide by all event regulations. If you register as a driver you must remain the driver throughout the event. Only the driver will be eligible for any money awarded.
3. Drivers are responsible for passengers’ actions while on the track,
4. Drivers may use as many pit personals as desired.
5. Drivers, riders, and crew members must attend pit meetings. Any controversies will be taken up at the drivers meeting.
6. Drivers and all people entering pit area must sign Entry Form and Release of Liability Form prior to entering pit area. Anyone that will be in the pits will have to pay entry fee (driver, rider, crew and anyone staying in the pits). NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
7. Authorized vehicles only will be allowed in the pit area. No personal vehicles are allowed.
8. A maximum of 5 mph must be always obeyed in the pit area. NO hot rodding in the pit area. This is the fastest way to be disqualified.
9. After entering pit area, all cars are to be inspected in the tech area as soon as possible. ALL cars must be teched and registered 30 minutes before show time.
If you don’t pass inspection, you will be allowed to make the necessary repairs and be re-inspected within 30 minutes prior to the start of the first heat.
***IF CAR DOES NOT PASS INSPECTION OR DRIVER IS UNWILLING TO CHANGE CAR TO PASS INSPECTION ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS!!******
Car Building Rules:
DO NOT paint anywhere on suspension or frame, if you do we will not even inspect your car.

1. May be any year front wheel drive (Wheelbase up to 112”) OR Rear Wheel Drive (Up to 107” Wheelbase) Both will be
a 4 cylinder or V6 engine and must be the original engine for that car. Carb conversion (no
protector) and simplified Harnesses will be allowed. Headers will also be allowed, no
protector.
2. Remove ALL glass, mirrors, plastic, outside body chrome & turn signals. Vehicles must be swept clean
of all debris. Also, must remove ALL carpet, dash, headliner, rear seats, and any other flammable
materials. We DO NOT want Glass or debris on the track.
3. Hoods must be 100% in stock location and open for inspection. Must have a minimum 12” opening on
hood in case of a fire.
4. Hoods may be fastened in 6 places total. 2 places with the core support all thread(NO CORE
SUPPORT SPACERS) and 4 places with 2 strands of #9 wire OR up to 4 pieces of 2x2x1/4” angle iron
with a single 3/8” bolt.
Trunks may be fastened in 4 places with 2 strands of 9 wire OR 4 pieces of 2x2x1/4” angle iron with a
single 3/8” bolt.
Trunk may have a single 90 degree bend. You will be allowed to crease REAR QUARTERS ONLY. Fresh
cars will also be allowed to notch and dimple to pre-bend rear frame rails. NO SEDAGONING
You may weld passenger doors 12 inches total on each vertical seam only 3”x1/8” Strap.If you have a
passenger, the doors may be welded solid. Drivers door may be welded solid on all seams. Drivers door
may also have a door skin up to 1/8” thick. This skin may also be welded solid and may only extend 3”
past door seams. Do not weld hood or trunk!
5. Body mounts and spacers to remain stock and in place. If they are broken or rusted out, a single piece
#9 wire may be substituted. No body bolt changing allowed. DO NOT EVEN TOUCH THEM!!! Exception:
You may replace two front body mounts with two 1" threaded rod with eight 3inch washers and 4 nuts,
Bottom nut and washer must be inside frame and may extend through hood. ZERO welding allowed to
mount this rod. Can take stock spacer out of the front body mounts and bolt it solid. If you want a
spacer it must be no longer than 4”. This spacer must not be welded in any way. NO CORE SUPPORT
SPACERS AT ALL. ALL THREAD MUST BE VISIBLE. Rear spacers can not be modified or changed.
6. Chain or #9 in window area only. Nothing welded to cowl or cage. Must have something in the
windshield area to keep the hood out of the drivers compartment.
7. Battery must be relocated to the interior of the vehicle and properly secured and covered. If you have
a passenger please make sure its in a safe place, secured & covered. If you mount the battery to the
floor the battery box must be 2” away from firewall and cage. Boxes or any part of the box must not
attach to the cage or the firewall pre ran or not.
8. Must disable airbags.
9. Gas tanks may be moved behind the seat in the center. All fuel lines running inside the car must be
covered. Original gas tanks are allowed, if they are in front of the rear axel. Gas tank protectors must
be mounted 8-inches off the floor and all sheet metal.
10. 4-point square cage only 60” max in length with one 2x3 down tube to sheet metal only per side.
Max 60-inch side bars 6-inch max. Cage must be 6” off firewall. Side bars must be 6” off the floor. Halo
bar is MANDATORY and must be attached to the backseat bar and floor sheet metal.
Car Preparation:
NO PAINTING OR UNDERCOATING OF THE FRAME. NO BUFFING OR GRIDING FRAMES OR BODIES
EXCEPT WHERE WELDING IS SPECIFICIALLY ALLOWED IN THESE RULES. NO PAINTING IN THE INSIDE OF
THE BODY OR CAR. IF THIS IS DONE THE CAR WILL NOT BE INSPECTED.
11. Gas Tank Protector: (Highly Recommended)
Dimensions: 24 inches wide & 8 inches from the roof, rear and floor sheet metal. Must be 4” in front
of packing tray/speaker deck. Protector may be tied into halo bar with metal in a straight line only. This
protector may not strengthen the car in any way. Pre-runs will be up to the discretion of the official on
clearances of tank protector.
11. May use factory pedals, brakes and steering column. OR an aftermarket steering column and
aftermarket pedals. Aftermarket pedals must bolt through floor sheet metal only and be at least 2” off
Firewall. This may not strengthen the car in anyway.
12. You may weld any stock factory car bumper (may be loaded on the inside only)
• No Replicas
Instead of a loaded factory bumper you may use a piece of 4”x4”x1/4” FLAT tubing in its place. May
have a 4” point over a 32” span. No tube bumpers over 4” tall will be allowed. No exceptions
13. Any tires are fine, including solid rear forklift tires. You may weld in full centers and valve stem
protectors, but no other bracing or supports allowed on the wheels.
14. You are allowed an aftermarket shifter; it may not be mounted in any way that strengthens the car.
15. Factory Appearing Built Struts will be allowed. May run up to a 2” tall bolt in strut spacer on top
of strut between strut and tower. No welding on strut towers at all.
16. You are allowed solid top motor mounts. This can be replaced with 2x2 but must bolt. Lower
mounts must remain stock. You may reinforce the lower mounts with up to 4x2x1/4 FLAT plate, one
side only.
17. Rear Wheel drive- Rear end must be factory to vehicle. May be Welded Posi-track. Must have
Factory leaf/Coil spring to vehicle. May have 1- 3/8” chain per side looped around frame/Rear end for
ride height. Chain may not strengthen in any way.
18. Drive Shaft- No Slider Drive shafts allowed.
Everything else must be factory for the year, make and model of the car you are running
IF THE RULES DO NOT SAY YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN’T!!!!!
Bumper Bracket:
Allowed 4”X12”x ⅜ FLAT plate as a bumper bracket. Must be Flat. No teepee, No half round, No
Doming, Nothing. Must stay Flat. Can only be welded to bumper and frame ONLY. Must be on the side.
Not allowed to weld on top or bottom.
No welding seams at all.
No Protectors. This includes cradles,lower cradles, carb protectors or header protectors.
Rear Suspension must remain completely stock, no reinforcing at all.
Call on all Rust Repair
All steering components must remain stock. Exception: Tie rods can be reinforced but both ends must be
stock.
Stock a arms, stock wheel bearings, stock ball joints. No reinforcement for these items. Must be stock
for the car you are running.
Repair Plate Rules:
Fresh/Prerun Car Plates: (4) 6x6x1/8”
Plates Must remain 6x6 cant make them 12”x3” if you cut the plate you lose it, can bend or shape it but
must remain 6” long.
Plates must be 1-inch apart including the weld; 1⁄2” weld max.
Plates can be placed wherever you please.
