2023 LUCKY 7S PROMOTIONS COMPACT F8 RULES
The Compact Figure 8 Scramble is open to men and women who have a valid driver’s license. In the best interest and in fairness to all contestants the following rules and regulations shall prevail.
Driver Entry
This is not a set of rules, but a set of guidelines of how to build your car. If it doesn’t say you can specifically do something, then you can’t. Please call if you have any questions on this!!! 573-375-0148 or 573-375-1717.

All competitors must pay general gate admission. All persons entering pits must sign waiver & pay pit entry fee.
Entry fee is for driver only, Rider must pay additional entry fee. Pit passes are available for crew members

Driver Entry
- Drivers must be at least 16 years old. Under 18 years old must have a parental release.
- Drivers may have one rider if so desired. This rider must be registered as a rider prior to start of events and pay an additional entry fee. Riders must also abide by all event regulations. If you register as a driver, you must remain the driver throughout the event. Only the driver will be eligible for any money awarded.
- Drivers are responsible for passengers’ actions while on the track,
- Drivers may use as many pit personals as desired.
- Drivers, riders, and crew members must attend pit meetings. Any controversies will be taken up at the drivers meeting.
- Drivers and all people entering pit area must sign Entry Form and Release of Liability Form prior to entering pit area. Anyone that will be in the pits will have to pay entry fee (driver, rider, crew and anyone staying in the pits). NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
- Authorized vehicles only will be allowed in the pit area. No personal vehicles are allowed.
- A maximum of 5 mph must be always obeyed in the pit area. NO hot rodding in the pit area. This is the fastest way to be disqualified.
- After entering pit area, all cars are to be inspected in the tech area as soon as possible. ALL cars must be teched and registered 30 minutes before show time.
If you don’t pass inspection, you will be allowed to make the necessary repairs and be re-inspected within 30 minutes prior to the start of the first heat.

Participation regulations
- There will be a predetermined amount of laps per heat and features.
- A car must make a complete lap to be officially counted towards their total laps.
- Driver can go forwards or backwards, whatever it takes to get you around the track.
- No deliberate head-ons or hitting an opponent’s driver’s door.
- Driver/Passenger must remain in his/her car until car is removed from track or an official tells you directly.
- All drivers must attend drivers meeting prior to event start time.
- Protests should be directed to the main official at the earliest possible time. There will be a $100 cash in hand protest fee. The protester must be in the top eight in the main event to be able to protest.
- Alcohol or drug use will not be tolerated, if found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs prior to the event being over, immediate disqualification will occur
General:
- Open to any cars not exceeding factory 107.5-inch wheelbase. No shortening wheelbase on car. Cars shall not have engines bigger than 6 cylinders. ****** If you wish to run a 107.6-110 inch wheelbase car, it MUST have stock bumper for that car. No Plates on the frame either. No radiator protectors. 108 cars must be bone stock with legal cage.
- Put car number on both front doors and on a MANDATORY upright roof panel (15” X 15” min.) in large readable print. Must be able to read number to be scored correctly.
- Battery must be placed in a secured container within the cab and be securely covered with a non-conductive material such as a rubber floor mat. You will disqualified If battery becomes loose during event
- Car hood must have a hole in it large enough for a fire extinguisher to access the engine compartment.
- All cars must have a bar attached to center of windshield area to prevent hood from entering drivers’ compartment.
- Sunroof must be completely covered with metal.
- All glass, chrome, carpet, back seat, headliner and anything flammable must be removed.
- Fire extinguisher is recommended but not mandatory and must be securely mounted and must work.
- Stock safety belts or racing type safety belts must be used during the event. Stay securely fastened during your race even if your car is inoperable.
- DOT approved drivers helmet must be worn and properly fastened. Fire protective suit, neck brace and eye protection should be used.
- Cars must be able to stop at the tech line. Working brakes are required.
- Creasing of the cars is allowed.
- Hoods can be secured with 4 pieces of threaded rod, with mounting plates no larger than 4x4x1/4 plate. Up to 1” all-thread can be used.
Cage:
- Drivers and passengers doors may have at least one flat steel plate (1/2 inch minimum thickness and 6 inch minimum width) bolted to door. Length is at least 5 inches past driver and front passenger door seams but not exceeding past the center of each wheel on each side of vehicle. This plate must be bolted to door with at least three bolts 1/2 inch diameter or larger going throw door with a plate on the inside.
- Cars must have one pipe welded or bolted from drivers’ side to passenger side door pillars. A round butt plate may be welded to end of pipe to attach to door pillar.
- Cars Must have at least 2 door bars for drivers protection. These must overlap both vertical door seams.
- No grader blades on the inside without grader blades on the outside.
- Drivers and passenger’s door may be welded solid, all other doors must be welded, wired or chained shut.
- Anything within the driver area is allowed as long as it is for driver’s protection. A four point cage is extremely recommended. Drivers area is defined as dash tunnel to speaker deck.
- Doors may be skinned, but need to remain within 3 inches on factory height
- If the original stock gas tank is factory located completely in front of the rear axle it can remain and be used in this position. Stock gas tank must be removed if it is above or behind rear axle. Stock fuel tank not being used must be removed from car.
- NO PLASTIC AUXILIARY FUEL TANKS ALLOWED.
- If car was originally equipped with an electric fuel pump located in the fuel tank, this tank can be used in the backseat area of the car. All extra fuel lines must be plugged. Auxiliary tank must be secured to floorboard and covered with a secured rubber mat.
- If gas tank is leaking, you will not run.
- One or two horizontal pieces of round or square tubing may be placed in front of radiator, to be supported by two vertical pieces of tubing coming off frame with a support tube not exceeding 10” back from the end of the frame. All tubes not to exceed 2” in outside dimension. This reinforcement must be BEHIND the front bumper in the grill area and can not exceed beyond the width of frame rails. This is designed as a radiator protector, not a battering ram.
- If you run a tubing "bumper", then this will count as one of your radiator protectors and can only have one additional bar. This a tubing "bumper" cannot extend past frame rails without a bumper skin. Max 6x6 tubing.
- You are allowed 20 linear inches of plate per frame rail/side that is 1/4 thick to use on frame or radiator support. Nothing wider than 4 inches. Plate should start out as 20x4x1/4.
- Absolutely NOTHING can be inside of the frame. We will drill and/or scope. This will be enforced heavily and cars will not run with stuffed frames.
- NO HOMEMADE POINTY BUMPERS that exceed a 6 inch point.
- If bumper is used that is not factory, it may not exceed 6 inch past frame.
- Radiators must remain in stock location.
- Radiator guard is allowed, must be 1/8’ or thinner, and only allowed to be secured in 6 spots ½ max.
- Core support reinforcement will be counted as a radiator protector.

Suspension/Steering:
- You may reinforce tie rods
- You may reinforce trailing arms
- You may reinforce axles
- You may reinforce A arms
- You may reinforce spindles
- You are allowed 1 bar that goes in between suspension that prevents tires from bending inward. This includes the interior of the car.
- NO DONUT TIRES ALLOWED ON DRIVE AXLE without official approval.
- Any wheel tire combo can be used.
- Stuffed or tubed tires are allowed.
- No studded tires
- No Screws in tires
- All wheel weights must be removed.
- Aftermarket motor mounts are allowed.
- You may reinforce stock motor mounts.
- Motor Cradles are allowed. Cannot be tied into frame or bumper in order to strengthen the car. These must be mounted where the stock mounts are located. These must only be secured to the motor and to the mounts. Cradles need at least ½ inch between the frame rails.
- Skid plates are allowed. Cannot be welded to the frame. This needs to be to protect the motor, not strengthen the car.
- No added motor mounts.
- Rear ends must start from a stock rear end. These can be reinforced, but must start from a stock rear end that bolts to the factory mounts.
